about

Michael was introduced to Chaco Canyon in a lucid dream while living in Los Angeles in 1977. This was the same year that archeo astronomer Anna Sofaer discovered the “Sun Dagger” on top of Fajada Butte in Chaco Canyon. The “Sun Dagger” was the subject of her first PBS documentary of the same name. Many years and trips to Chaco later, Michael and Anna met in Santa Fe and she asked him to score her new documentary, “The Mystery of Chaco Canyon”, narrated by Robert Redford. This is the music he wrote for the film, emerging from the images, stories and his own experiences there, immersed it’s great mystery.
