about

In the spring of 1998 Michael was commissioned by author Barbara Hand Clow to write music based on a system of nine dimensions related in her book “The Pleidian Agenda”. He created a musical expression of each dimension, and when he had finished mastering Barbara's album, he re-worked the music to his own design and this CD emerged.
Several of the pieces feature ambient recordings made at worldwide locations, including underwater in Roatan, ceremony in Bali and with the Mara Masai in Kenya. On other pieces he recorded bells and singing bowls gathered from different traditions by artist Paul Abell. These were the same bells he had used throughout the soundtrack to “Baraka”. The piece “Seven” was written on a large Serge synthesizer in San Francisco, and Michael wove together elements from the musical expressions of each of the nine dimensions into the final piece “The Terrible Beauty”.
